What's new for 2012?
The 60th Annual Diocesan Youth Convention will feature many changes resulting from the "Extreme Makeover: Convention Edition" project.
What is the Convention?
The best description is for you to see it! Watch this video to see highlights from the 2011 event:
The Convention is a weekend conference in February (President's Day weekend) for high school youth and adult chaperones. The weekend includes liturgy, reconciliation, keynote speakers, breakout sessions, award presentations & dance.
The Diocesan Youth Convention is made possible through the generous support of the following sponsors:
Pallet Services Inc. & Dan O'Leary
Catholic Charities of Buffalo
Buffalo Bills
Harvest House
Stevens Driving School
How to Promote the Convention:
- Show this video to your religious education classes, youth group, your own teenager and his/her friends... Anyone who will watch it — and invite them to join the fun!
- Find the video on YouTube or here at www.dobyouth.org and send the link to your young people (and their parents). Ask them to share it with their friends! Together, we can make this go viral!
- Contact Jennifer Belock to ask if members of the Diocesan Youth Board can come to speak with youth at your parish about the Convention. Teens are always more interested in what other teens have to say!
Special Offers:
- If your parish is NEW or NEW AGAIN (has not attended in the past 3 years), your Group Leader comes for FREE with a group registration!
- If you are a Returning Parish, recruit another parish to attend and take $100 off your total bill!
